About the Char Dham Yatra
All four dhams in eleven days, in the order the route takes them: Yamunotri from Barkot, Gangotri from Uttarkashi, Kedarnath on foot from Gaurikund with a night at the shrine, and Badrinath from Joshimath, with Mana above it.
Haridwar and the Ganga Aarti open the trip and Rishikesh closes it. Private cab throughout, ten nights of hotels and camps, and breakfast and dinner every day. Helicopter, pony and palki are arranged separately.
Day by day
01Delhi to Haridwar | Ganga Aarti
- Departure from Delhi by private cab to Haridwar.
- Check in at the hotel and rest.
- Evening at Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga Aarti.
- Dinner included. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
02Haridwar to Barkot
- Breakfast, then check out and drive to Barkot through the Himalayan foothills.
- Check in at the hotel or camp on arrival.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Barkot.
03Barkot to Yamunotri and back
- Early start for Janki Chatti, and from there up to Yamunotri dham.
- Darshan, then the return to Barkot.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Barkot.
04Barkot to Uttarkashi | Gangotri Darshan
- Breakfast, then check out and drive to Uttarkashi.
- Check in, then continue for Gangotri dham darshan.
- Return to Uttarkashi afterwards.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
05Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
- Breakfast, then check out and drive to Guptkashi through the hills.
- Check in on arrival and rest.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
06Guptkashi to Kedarnath | Kedarnath Dham
- Early start for Sonprayag and Gaurikund.
- From Gaurikund, up to Kedarnath dham.
- Darshan at the temple, subject to the timings that day.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.
07Kedarnath to Guptkashi
- Morning darshan, then the return down to Gaurikund.
- From Sonprayag, back to Guptkashi or Sitapur.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Guptkashi or Sitapur.
08Guptkashi to Joshimath
- Breakfast, then check out and drive to Joshimath through the Garhwal.
- Check in on arrival and rest.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Joshimath.
09Joshimath to Badrinath and back
- Breakfast, then out to Badrinath dham for darshan.
- The Badrinath temple, then Mana village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa and the Saraswati river, as time and conditions allow.
- Return to Joshimath.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Joshimath.
10Joshimath to Rishikesh
- Breakfast, then check out and drive down to Rishikesh.
- Check in on arrival.
- Evening free for the Ganga ghat, Triveni Ghat and the market.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
11Rishikesh to Delhi | Departure
- Breakfast, then check out from the hotel.
- Return journey to Delhi by private cab.
- Breakfast included. Drop at Delhi.

✓What to pack
- A 40-60L rucksack plus a small daypack
- Warm layers — thermals, fleece and a windproof jacket (nights stay cold even in summer)
- Trekking shoes with grip, plus slippers for the stay
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, cap, lip balm and a personal water bottle
- Power bank, torch and any personal medication
- Original government photo ID — mandatory at all checkposts

- The itinerary can change with the weather, the road, government regulation and the temple and route timings. These are high-altitude shrines and the mountain decides the schedule.
