About the Gangtok, Pelling & Darjeeling Trip
Six days and three bases: Gangtok for Tsomgo, Pelling in West Sikkim for the monasteries and the skywalk, then Darjeeling for Tiger Hill.
Pemayangtse is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim and the Rabdentse ruins behind it were the kingdom’s second capital — a short walk through forest to a ridge with the whole range in front of you.
Day by day
01Bagdogra to Gangtok | Arrival
- Arrive at Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station and meet your driver.
- Drive up to Gangtok through the Himalayan foothills.
- Check in and rest. Evening free for MG Marg.
- Dinner included. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
02Gangtok | Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
- Breakfast, then out to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir for the day.
- Both subject to permit and to the weather.
- Return to Gangtok by evening.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
03Gangtok to Pelling | Monasteries & Skywalk
- Breakfast, then check out and drive west to Pelling.
- Pemayangtse Monastery, the Rabdentse ruins and the Pelling skywalk.
- Check in at the hotel and rest.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Pelling.
04Pelling to Darjeeling
- Breakfast, then check out and drive on to Darjeeling.
- Check in on arrival, evening free for Mall Road and Chowrasta.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
05Darjeeling | Tiger Hill & Local Sightseeing
- Early start for Tiger Hill and the sunrise over Kanchenjunga.
- Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop on the way back.
- The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Padmaja Naidu zoological park, a tea garden and the Japanese Peace Pagoda.
- Evening free for shopping.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
06Darjeeling to Bagdogra | Departure
- Breakfast, then check out from the hotel.
- Drive to Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station.
- Breakfast included. The tour ends.

✓What to pack
- A 40-60L rucksack plus a small daypack
- Warm layers — thermals, fleece and a windproof jacket (nights stay cold even in summer)

- Power bank, torch and any personal medication
- Original government photo ID — mandatory at all checkposts

!Good to know
- Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir need a permit, arranged locally, and the road can close for snow. Both are subject to weather on the day.
- The last stretch to several viewpoints is run by the local taxi union rather than by us, so those charges are separate.
